Jan van Haasteren was born in 1936 in Holland. In 1962 he started work doing advertising/illustration and went on the work for Toonder Animation Studios. After 5 years he left to become a freelance illustrator creating posters for clients all over the world including Heineken and Philips. He now creates a lot of puzzle illustrations enjoyed by many people in their homes in many countries of the world.
Each puzzle box is 25cm wide, 25cm long, and 6.2cm high — perfect for gifting or storing neatly on the shelf.
The Jan Van Haasteren family is on an expedition to the South Pole, tackling the snowy landscapes, the freezing cold, and encounters with penguins. Each member has found their own way to survive in the harsh conditions. Or perhaps it's not as tough as it seems?
